Brooklyn Botanical Garden Visitor's Center

In mid-May, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden celebrated the grand opening of the Garden's Visitor Center! CitiLog assisted by upcycling ginkgo trees that were harvested from the site. The ginkgo trees were made into veneer that was used for paneling in the event space. You can read more about the ginkgo veneer process here!

CitiLog also provided black locust which was used for pathways on the site. Black locust is an extremely hard and durable wood, and left untreated it can last for 50+ years. Black locust is the natural alternative to chemically treated lumber and endangered tropical hardwoods.
